Poorly compacted fill soils, drying and shrinking soils beneath a slab, or a washout of soil create a void below your slab, weakening the soil supporting the concrete. At some point the slab will crack, break and settle. If this settlement is left untreated slab settlement has the potential to cause serious damage to any home or building so must be addressed sooner rather than later.

Foundation Technologies uses a structural polyurethane injection foam in the voids beneath settling or rocking concrete slabs. The result is complete stabilization without excavation and added weight. With today’s technology, slabs can be lifted back to their original position using Prime Resins Precision Lift products. Regardless of the problem, Foundation Technologies can provide a solution. Whether it is a building, warehouse floor, sidewalk or driveway, Precision Lift products are specifically designed to consolidate the underlying soils and lift the settled slab.

Typically, if loose soils are identified, a permeation grout is injected to flow through the soils and react with groundwater to create a highly dense base under the slab. This is followed by the controlled injection of expansive two-part polyurethane directly under the slab to create the desired lift back to its original elevation.

Underpinnin is a foundation repair system that incorporates the use of steel pilings that are hydraulically advanced to load bearing strata (limerock or other dense subsurface soils). These pilings are load tested to insure proper installation and are then attached to the foundation. The weight of the structure is permanently and safely transferred to the underpins insuring that your biggest investment is secure for the future.

In some cases where traditional foundation repair system are not practical, we use helical pilings for structure stabilization. A helical pile consists of a helical plate on the lead section of the piling. This type of piling is screwed into the ground until it reaches refusal. Once the piling has been load tested, it is then attached to the foundation and the structure is permanenetly stabilized in place.

As an alternative to slab raising with cement-based materials, structural polyurethane foam can be used to repair settled or rocking concrete slabs. The result is lifting and stabilization without excavation and added weight.
